Etiquette & Policies

When visiting BeeVilla Spa, we kindly ask you to keep in mind a few helpful details to ensure a positive experience for you and all of our guests.

Upon Arrival

To fully take of advantage of the rejuvenating aspects of time spent at the spa, we encourage our guests to arrive a minimum of 20 - 30 minutes before your first scheduled appointment. Guests receiving Facials, Massage, Body Treatments, some Wellness treatments, or multiple treatments will be given a robe, slippers, and a locker upon check-in and are invited to shower (please arrive at least 30 minutes in advance for this amenity), grab something to drink, and repose in one of the many lounge areas to begin setting the tone for a completely tranquil experience.

Cell Phone Etiquette

Upon entering the front doors (or better yet in the parking lot!), please make sure your phone ringer is set on silent.  We ask that you refrain from making or receiving phone calls during your time with us.  Being at the spa is the best time ever to take a break from your device, in fact we recommend doing without your phone completely.  Your nervous system will thank you later!

Booking Policy

A valid credit card is required at the time of reservation to book an appointment with us at BeeVilla Spa.  When you check out, feel free to pay for your services with credit card, cash or gift card. We do not accept checks.

Cancellation Policy

We will send text and email reminders 48-hours and 24-hours prior to scheduled services to help our guests make it to the spa on time. We understand that situations sometimes arise that make keeping your appointment utterly impossible. We ask that you go online or call to reschedule/ cancel your appointment asap as appointment slots get harder to fill the closer the time comes.  To ensure that our staff keep a full schedule, their bills paid, and a smile on their face, we have a 24-hour cancellation policy in place.  Appointments that are rescheduled or cancelled inside of the 24-hour window will incur a charge of 50% of the service and no-show appointments will be charged the full amount of the service.

Age Requirements

The minimum age to enjoy all of the services and amenities that we have to offer is 18.  Guests between the ages of 15 - 17 may be booked for certain services when accompanied by their parent or guardian, who will remain with them at all times.  Guests under the age of 18 are not permitted in the locker rooms.

Sexual Harassment Policy

BeeVilla Spa employs Licensed Professionals that use mandatory proper draping techniques in accordance with the Licensing Board of the State of Texas, and our Massage Therapists do not massage breast tissue, nipples, or genitalia. We have a zero-tolerance policy for sexual harassment, including jokes with sexual innuendo and/or referring to "happy endings". Sexual harassment is prohibited by federal, state, and local laws. It applies equally to men and women and is generally defined by the law as unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature. Your therapist will end the session immediately if any such event occurs, you will charged for your full treatment, and will no longer be able to book services with us in the future.

  • What do I wear in the spa?
When you book a Massage, Facial, Body Treatment, Hydrotherapy Room session, Infrared Sauna session, or multiple services in one day, we provide you with a locker, robe, and slippers for use around the spa. We ask that you remove all jewelry during these sessions, so we advise leaving all valuables at home, as we are not responsible for the loss or theft of these items. You can wear underwear underneath your robe or whatever makes you feel most comfortable. Swimsuits must be worn in the Hydrotherapy Room and Infrared Sauna room. For body treatments in "The Pearl", we provide disposable underwear (bikini top and bottoms for women, boxers for men) or you can wear an old swimsuit that you don't mind getting cosmetic products on. For facials, you will be given a towel wrap to use under the sheet and blanket to make you feel more comfortable, but it allows for work on the décolleté.
  • Can I get a Pedicure if I have toenail fungus?
Yes, you can absolutely treat yourself to a pedicure. At BeeVilla Spa, instead of jetted whirlpool pedicure chairs, we use copper foot basins with disposable liners for each guest. We adhere to strict protocols for sanitation, disinfection, and sterilization to ensure the safety of all our guests and staff. Our therapists wear gloves and are trained to prevent the spread of infectious pathogens. The only thing we ask is that you bring your own base coat, color polish, and top coat with you for your own personal use.
  • What is "The Silent Treatment"?
"The Silent Treatment" is our take on a silent spa session that involves minimal talking. You will receive a special amenity kit with an eye mask and ear plugs that you can use during your treatment or when relaxing in the different lounge areas before or after your services. Besides relaying pertinent information related to your treatment, your service provider will allow you to relax in utter peace and quiet to restore inner silence and help detox your nervous system.
  • Do I need to tip my service provider?
Gratuities are 100% optional, but always greatly appreciated for exceptional service.
  • Do I completely undress for a massage session?
This is completely up to you and your comfort level, everybody is different. We are Licensed Professionals and use draping techniques in such a way that only the body parts we are working on are exposed at any given time. Many people choose to remove all of their clothing and underwear during a session, especially athletic people who get more focus work in the glutes/ hip rotator area (the buttocks). Some people prefer to leave underwear or boxers on and that's fine too. Typically women on their period choose to leave their underwear on as a precaution as well. There is no rule, and we're happy to work around what you leave on. To avoid any awkward situations, though, just remember to ALWAYS get under the top sheet and blanket and cover yourself completely with them (head out, of course) before your therapist comes back in the room to start your session!
  • Do I need to shave my legs?
We are professionals and dedicated to the task at hand of providing you the best services possible and helping you find a few moments of bliss. We don't pay attention to hair or stubble on your legs. Please keep in mind that certain services, though, like ones involving exfoliation or our Marine Magnesium gel, might cause a little sting if you shave the day of your treatment. So for those, it's best to shave the day before.
